Elizabeth’s Group is a registered charity and a dedicated group of volunteers who spread the word about Elizabeth Wolstenholme Elmy. We give talks, support the school curriculum, run events celebrating key dates like International Women’s Day, and publish books and booklets about Elizabeth. We have created an Elizabeth Heritage Trail around Congleton and you can get the map and description free of charge, and we maintain this website of information and send out occasional newsletters about our work.
All this costs time and money and we do this by the generous support of volunteers, donations, sponsorship and the regular contribution of The Friends of Elizabeth. Please consider doing one of these!

Would you like to volunteer for our group? We need event organisers, adminstrators, creatives, public speakers, and anyone willing to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. We organise talks, stalls, performances, walks and all sorts of other events to celebrate Elizabeth and other women’s rights activists. We collaborate with groups all over the country and sometimes travel to support their events such as statue unveilings.
